This week's ♫ Tuesday Tune♫ choicewas a no brainer! In gratitude and respect of helping raise a huge heap of cash (still counting - final sum-to-come!) for a Children For Lourdes charity (more info thisaway.) I give you No Need For Idols with their classic hit Wasted City.
Those who can be arsed to sift down my blogs' sidebars to get the gist of just how stable and mature I am, will have noticed other songs by the same band from time to (all the) time. Please give the song at least a bit of a listen. It's really a pretty decent little rock ballad.
TheNNFI guys study, work, write and rehearse hard then make magical, musical gestures by way of charity and awareness gigs. They performeach Christmas in Scotland's only woman's prison too. Truth be known I'm proud of them and I'm the Mumma of the Drumma. Here's the guy's from Saturday in the stadium before it all kicked off!
No Need For Idols sporting their new shorter hair cuts! If you're a Facebooker, it'd be nice if you could give the guys Bandpage a 'Like' without the need to follow. It would pass as a bitsy little round of appreciative applause ....thanxz.... ..!
If you're reading this, could you please go round the corner from me and ask my neighbour's dog to shut the fuck up....!!!? *******************************
This week takes me back with the old chameleon of music. I've been a Bowie fan most of my life but you can't beat his early stuff! Okay, David take it away.......
D'youknow what's had me puzzled for a good few years? This 'fun size' chocolate bar swizz! Surely 'fun size' Crunchie should be bigger than normal Crunchie? Based on that logic the less you eat of them the more fun it is!? Come on Cadbury, don't just smooth this problem over...!!
Two entries in the " Literalism in Pictures" guess this Friday! Top picture is the 'saying' and bottom the 'food'. This should be a doddle to solve. There can be only one winner for the mighty award!

I've decided on upping two videos for Tuesday Tunes - one American, the other British, whose artists I listen to the most. I may slip in other 'worldly' tunes from time to time. So, for my 6th linkup I have chosen these songs:
Cool by Gwen Stefani, covering the delicate nature of still loving an ex. Gee, that bloke has thee most gorgeous eyes! That's City Life by Lily Allen. I love the humourvideo in this, depicting the world through rose tinted specs, only to admit to what you're actually seeing!

Continuing the literalisms picture challenge but withfood as the focus. I'll keep it simple again this week just to start off any newcomer's or FB drop-ins.
For My 5th visit to Tuesday Tunes, I'm gonna double up bit.
My first song is Need You Nowby Lady Antebellum. The harmonies are so soul stirring.
My second choice is a bit cheeky as it's my older son's band. A few years old nowthe track The High by Hotel India is a upbeat anthem played in a lot of gardens during barbeques and cars with their windows down. My son's the drummer!

I just watched a programme about diabetes on the Home and Health channel. Dr. Hilary Jones (that's a bloke, btw) told us that there are currently 3 million sufferers in the UK and the figure is set to rise by 2025 to 4 million. Well,...a good, caring doctor he may be but he's clearly rubbish at maths.
Tuesday's Tune comes in the form of Canadian rough-throater Bryan Adams withCloud Number 9. Admittedly, I'm not his biggest fan but I can't fault him on this one. The haunted, heavenly video compliments the structure of the song nicely. Over to you, Bryan:
