Tuesday's Tune

This week I'm focusing on a recent song that was entered into 2013's Eurovision Song Contest.  Yes, we Europeans take our music seriously. Well, actually, we don't, as it's all dogged by political rigging but - hey - this song from Malta by Gianluca never fails to cheer me up.  It didn't win but should have.  I'm popping up two videos of the same song. One lyrics and one the official video. Within the first 30 seconds I was hooked.  Hope it stirs a little something in you, too!

.
and if you like shiny happy people - go for this one:

Thanks, Helena! Decidedly I am stirred. I identify with Jeremy in this most cheerful song, and predict he will still be puzzling the young lady out in 45 years. I am.

This has doubled my exposure to Eurovision, as a UK friend just returned from attending!

I do like the song...

Thank you all. Eurovision is viewed mainly for fun but some cracking songs

this was definately one of the better efforts - although my personal favourite was Hungary, who had come dressed as Jarvis Cocker

I think in recent years Eurovision has lost some of its humour value - bring back the trolls, russian grannies, unicycling trumpeters and icelandics in PVC that's what i say

Oh - but i thought Graham Norton was much better this year - seems to have found the right level eventually
