Sunday Snippet (41)

"You're never too old to learn," so the old adage goes. Hmmm, I don't know.  My gran is 98 this year and I reckon it's a safe bet that she's never going to take up and master the bagpipes now.

Tuesday Tunes

Tuesday's Tune this week comes from The Posies with Love Comes.  I lifted the wrong iPod on my way to work and while scrolling through my son's HUGE variety of music was delighted to hear this one, which I was kinda glad of because my ears were on the verge of bleeding!

Anyhow - I picked the best Youtube version.  Hope you like it and please join in by clicking on the Tuesday Tunes pic in my sidebar.

To divide between blog posts, I thought I'd continue with the literalism pictures.  Kirsty got it right last time and this week's pic is an even easier doddle! So......?

♪ A Bit On The Late Side ♪

I've just discovered this wonderful new blog (through my visits to Doria), where you get the chance to air your musical passions and in return get the chance to discover new music.  A lot of songs on my iPod have been from others' introduced via blog posts.  I think I'm gonna enjoy this group a lot!  So, to start me off, I've chosen this song from Suede from their brand new album Bloodsports, their first in 11 years.  Sock it to 'em, Brett!

What I'm Loving Wednesday (9)

What I'm Loving this week:

I'm Loving:

This caricature of music's undisputed front woman ever!:

*******************************************************************
My youngest's new look.  I call him my 'wee Eric Stoltz' (from his Pulp Fiction role!).

Today's test results!  My vault smear came back clean as a whistle. I have now been cancer free for 15 years!
************************************************************

This snap of my daughter, Kerri, taken on the bridge of this sleek little town river.  You know your kids are maturing even more when they fancy a weekend trip to The Cotswolds:

********************************************************************
This film called Fish Story. From Japan and subtitled, I watched this the other night purely by chance while channel hopping and it's now in my top 20 recommendations!:

************************************************************Both of these dresses. I'm not one to feminine it very often but I'm off to see my daughter in London soon so would love to class myself up!  Need to wear a little cardy too I think, as I'm quite conscious of my upper arms:

**********************************************************
These naughty little guys created solely for Easter time. Lent would stand no chance with me. I'll be heart broken by mid April.......

*************************************************************
And finally - getting a sneaky listen my son's bands' ( Hotel India), demo of their future single release, Now You Feel.  Boy am I gagging for the finished product.  They're all troopers!

LOVE YA'S!

What I'm Loving Wednesday (8)

This weeks top peaks go something like this:

 I'm Loving:

These wellingtons:

We got our first touch of spring here in Scotland today but I'd love these boots in wait for April showers.

This little guy:

Meet Hetfield - my son and his girlfriend's new rescue dog. He's a cross Chihuahua and Jack Russell and shit scared of our cat! Bless........

This new snap:

A fun edit of my son's band in stead of their first national single release.  Launch party soon. Yipeeeee!

The return of the dancing sunflower! Guitars at the ready folks!

*      *      *      *      *      *      *      *      *      *      *      *      *      *

This ornament momento:

A fabulously sculpted clay model in tribute to Harold and Maude, characters from one of my most ever loved films. I never tire of it.

These little beauties:

Beware: these can cause severe addiction.  Thick milk chocolate with a malt smooth and crunchy inside. Sod waiting till Easter - I've already murdered dozens of the pesky things!

Finally - this rather chav/ned/redneck type of video to accompany a surprisingly beautiful song:
