Sunday Steal (8th March Q's!)

Sunday Stealing Meme (First Timer)

1. Have you ever pretended to read a book to impress someone?  No, but if they bang on about a book they have read, I'd just fib and say I may read it soon!

2. Have you ever pretended not to read a book in order to avoid embarrassment?  Kind of.  I lied and said that I'd never read Fifty Shades of Gray when in fact I'd somehow managed to stomach the first 10 pages!

3. What’s your worst reading habit?  The Viz magazine.

4. What book are you most proud of having read?  Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov, because of its controversial content.

5. Do you buy most of your books new, second-hand, electronically or borrow via the library? I'm too careless to own a Kindle or such like (I'd leave it on a bus no doubt) so second hand and library suffice.

6. Have you ever pretended to watch a film to impress someone? No, but I once said I'd watched Apocalypse Now when I hadn't, to try and avoid watching it via video one night.  I forced myself to watch it a few years later and it's now in my top 10 favourite films!

7. Have you ever pretended not to have watched a film in order to avoid embarrassment?   Well, I'll not readily admit that I'd sat through The Human Centipede.  It was so gob-smackingly bizzare I had to see it all.

8. What movie have you watched the most?  Probably Bram Stokers Dracula. (1993)

9. What film do you tell people is your favorite ever?  Sweet Hostage (1973)

10. What film is actually your favorite ever?  The above.

11. What time do you usually wake up and get up in the mornings?  It varies.  I'm a committed insomniac so sometimes it's the previous morning.

12. Do you wake naturally or does something/someone wake you up?  Naturally, if the damn bloody birds don't warble me up at the slightest hint of morning first!

13. How many snooze alarms do you need?  Just one. He's called Trevor.

14. What’s your routine on a workday/work at home morning?  Shower, s**t, shoes, then shoot off.....!

15. What’s your routine on a non-workday morning?  Sluggish, very very sluggish......!

Music Monday - Kate Bush - Babooshka

Taking me back to the days when I was an underage drinker in my first 'local' pub.  This song was never off the jukebox and pissed off my first boyfriend something rotten and for that reason alone I give you all this: a quirky Kate Bush and my favourite song of hers - Babooshka!

Feline Friday (7th March)

I had to share this wonderful Top Cat with the world (or at least this group of us!) as he quite took my fancy.

Oh, I do love a well-turned-out
       Tom!

Music Monday - A Little Respect - Erasure

I used to dance my arse off to this in the 80's.  Even with the vast years passed since this was high in the charts, it's still used as one of the best summer anthems to beat out from a passing car!  It's a sure foot tapper!

☼ Sunday Snippet (49) ☼

I wonder if anyone can help me?  I can't seem to think of another purpose for multi-purpose compost other than for growing plants in?  Can you?

Feline Friday (February 28th)

This week's Feline Friday features my two cats, but is in particular tribute to my old ginger mukka, Simon, who is in kitty Heaven.

He loved his tinned salmon:

And fed himself effortlessly:

But when it came to sharing:

Poor Boaby stood no chance:

Feline Friday (Done Hastily On A Saturday)

I thought I'd post an arty-cat pic this time round - and a very fine specimen indeed!

Feline Friday - Da Tree Mousekateers......!

This photo has a definite 80's feel to it!  I'd love to have adopted all three of these mischievous balls of fun-time fluff!  All together now........ahhhh...!

Music Monday - Into The Ocean

I discovered this song as an entry on another music blog (sadly not running anymore) that I followed besides this one and I absolutely love it now!  That's the joy of M M, too - not knowing what variety is in store for you.

Anyhow here's  Blue October with  Into The Ocean:

Feline Friday - Shoesome Twosome...!

I once put my foot in a boot and our baby kitty, Boaby, was already in it!    This mad wee shoe-some twosome reminded me of the 'aaahhhh' factor that day!

Music Monday (but on a Tuesday this week!)

Hotel India (formerly Casino) sings one from their earlier career days.  Still a toe-tapping, post Britpop cheery little number.  Keep a look 'n' listen out for this fresh new talent:

Feline Friday ( Jan 10 )

This week's cat is in midnight hue.  Nightlife is sacred to them.  Just what DO they get up to...?

( Missed ) Music Monday

I couldn't let today pass without wishing David Bowie a Happy Birthday.  I've chosen a recent, middle and older video of hits throughout his career.  Still giving it large at the ripe old age of 67! Take it away, Starman.....

Feline Friday (Jan '03)

My first Feline Friday in four months!   Nice to be back. I just love cats in the snow and this furry little fellow seems to be enjoying it - as my one used to do!

Sunday Snippet ( 48 )

Wouldn't it be fun to terrorise the All Blacks rugby team at their next English confrontation by allowing Morris Dancers to respond to their Haka?
